Our Sires
Our male Golden Retrievers are the cornerstone of our breeding program here at FLX Goldens. Each one has been carefully selected for his outstanding pedigree, health clearances, and classic Golden temperament—loyal, gentle, and eager to please. These boys not only meet the AKC breed standard in appearance and structure, but they also embody the friendly, intelligent spirit the breed is known for. Raised as part of our family, they enjoy a happy, active life in the Finger Lakes and pass on their exceptional qualities to every litter.
Our Dams
Our female Golden Retrievers are the heart of FLX Goldens. Each girl has been thoughtfully chosen for her excellent lineage, strong health background, and sweet, nurturing temperament. They are intelligent, affectionate, and wonderfully gentle—traits they consistently pass on to their puppies. Our girls are raised in a loving home environment, where they’re part of our daily lives and family routines. Their calm nature, eagerness to please, and classic Golden charm make them exceptional mothers and companions.

Each puppy is nurtured in a clean, safe, and social home environment, receiving plenty of love and early exposure to family life. Our litters come from champion bloodlines with full health clearances, ensuring the best start for every pup. As they grow, we focus on socialization, gentle handling, and confidence-building to help them transition smoothly into their forever homes. FLX Goldens owner Lonnie Martin is AKC registered. AKC registration provides Proof of Purebred Status: Your dog comes from AKC-registered parents of the same breed, confirming it’s a purebred. Official Record: The dog’s name, breed, date of birth, and pedigree are recorded in the AKC registry. Eligibility for AKC Events: Registered dogs can participate in AKC shows, trials, and performance events like: Conformation (dog shows), Obedience, Agility, Rally, Hunt tests, Access to Breeding Rights (with purchase of registration by you.) You may register litters of puppies with AKC if both parents have full AKC registration.
About the breed
Golden Retrievers are friendly, intelligent, and deeply devoted dogs known for their gentle nature and eagerness to please. They thrive in active, family-oriented homes and are excellent with children and other dogs. With high energy levels, they require daily exercise and enjoy outdoor activities like swimming and fetch. Goldens shed year-round, especially during seasonal changes, but regular brushing keeps their coats manageable. They’re highly trainable, making them ideal for first-time dog owners. Males typically stand 23–24 inches tall and weigh 65–75 pounds, while females are slightly smaller at 21.5–22.5 inches and 55–65 pounds. They have a life expectancy of 10–12 years and are generally quiet, barking only to alert.

FLX Goldens Pricing
We require a deposit of $200 per puppy. We accept Cash, Credit Card, Venmo or Cash APP.
1st Pick
Get 1st pick of the upcoming litter. Fee is in addition to the cost of the puppy.
Standard Pick
For standard picks, this fee will be deducted from the total puppy cost.
AKC Registration Papers
If you’re looking to breed your pup an additional fee of $800 applies.

Frequently asked questions
To reserve a puppy, we require a non-refundable deposit (see details below). Reservations are accepted in the order deposits are received. We will confirm your placement and contact you as the litter progresses.
A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your place on the reservation list. This goes toward the total purchase price of your puppy.
Picks are made in the order deposits are received. The first deposit gets first pick, second gets second pick, and so on. We help match each family with a puppy that fits their lifestyle and preferences. However, we do allow 1st litter picks at a premium price. If a first litter is purchased, we will advise you prior to your deposit.
Puppies go home at 8 weeks old. We’ll schedule pick-up appointments in advance to allow for a smooth transition.
Each puppy comes with:
• A vet health check and vaccination record
• Deworming schedule
• AKC registration paperwork (limited registration unless otherwise discussed)
• A sample of their current food
• A scent blanket from mom/littermates
• Socialization introduction and early training exposure
We are committed to producing well-rounded, family-oriented Golden Retrievers with excellent health, calm temperaments, and classic golden looks. Our dogs are raised with love in a home and farm environment.
We do not ship puppies via cargo. However, we may offer delivery or meet partway depending on your location—just ask!
Yes. We offer a one-year health guarantee against life-threatening congenital defects, with conditions outlined in our purchase contract.
We recommend bringing:
• A collar and leash
• A crate or safe space in your vehicle
• Water and a bowl for the ride home
• A towel or wipes in case of motion sickness
• Lots of love and excitement!
We feed high-quality puppy food, and a small starter supply will be sent home. You’ll receive the brand name and feeding instructions in your take-home folder.
Yes! Puppies are handled daily, exposed to kids, sounds, and different environments to support healthy development and confidence.
